Unless Darren Lewis is reporting on west ham I dont take to much notice of what the Mirror says, he seems to have some sort of relationship with the board though

Expectations will change year on year based on circumstances and investment. Two years ago you'd have to say that 10th place was a great achievement. This year it would be under achievement.

Sam has reached the upper limit of his ability. Thanks and goodbye.

Macca

I agree with you. I have said for a while I can't see why they would get rid of him. They didn't last season or in the summer. These are the owners who didn't sack grant until he relegated us.

They're risk adverse and even if they did let him go their track record of managers has been pretty poor throughout their ownership of west ham and Bimringham.

It is true.

The bit about Brighton, anyway.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if this was true.

I only reveal details when the info is water tight, Thumb. Like when some people on here won dough on Redknapp leaving QPR.

I'd leave the EPIC BINGO BANTZ alone, son.

Re: Allardyce to be offered 2 year contract
Difference was that last year there was a whole year's compensation for all the SA team of coaches to consider.

I do think a strong finish will get SA another contract if terms can be agreed. It would be a dreadful mistake imo simply because SA's limitations as a coach has become obvious but you never know...

What you heard then ED. Tell us your source.
How'd the bingo go last night with your mum?

Re: Allardyce to be offered 2 year contract
I've heard a couple of things, but no one genuinely knows what's going on except the owners.

The easiest guess is that he'll stay on, I mean they kept him on last year after what was an absolute shocker of a season, I can't see them taking what is, in their eyes, a chance. The only chance is Sullivan, it's obvious as snow that the other 2 love him.

Re: Allardyce to be offered 2 year contract
I can imagine a big name replacing Allardyce, but not a lesser name or a younger manager. Maybe after we settle into the OS.

They've definitely been sounding out other managers, but they could easily be making a list that already has BFS at the top, just in case.

Refresh my MEMORY, have we just given a 1 year rolling job in the past??

Will be an interesting summer if he does.

I expect him to get a 2 year deal.

Re: Allardyce to be offered 2 year contract
I fancy we will hear something, directly or indirectly before the end of the season.

My gut feeling is that he will go, that is based on that I think he would have gone last summer but that meant sacking him, this season they don't have to do that. But they could bottle it as well and go for the safe bet.

One McAvennieeeeee 10:28 Tue Mar 10
Re: Allardyce to be offered 2 year contract
Course not. I'm only guessing. I would be very very surprised if they don't offer him a deal of some sort though.

With regards to the end of season thing it's just what they've always maintained. The same thing happened the other season I think? So I only have their word to go on it.

Private Dancer 10:23 Tue Mar 10
Re: Allardyce to be offered 2 year contract
Sure, I'm not suggesting they haven't decided to keep hm, it's definitely a possibility, but if they have decided then you would think it would be in eveyone's best interest to announce it now, or maybe not. The end of the season thing doesn't have to be set in stone.
